My perspective might not be the best one to pursue. [at least he says it openly and honestly] One would hope that the simple suggestion of being free to do as they please and not be corralled around like cattle might be enough, but we all know it's never that simple.
Obviously the joys include being capable of tremendous feats, even without being capable of magic, and the ability to close rifts. And the troubles include the odd pains and tingles and the fact that in an uncertain amount of time it'll become deadly.
Which I find to be a small price to pay for the joys. Not everyone feels that way. I think it's a gift, and a duty, from blessed Andraste, and most people don't feel that way.
